Ella was a surprise elimination from the show last month, missing out on the weekend's final.
However the 16-year-old has apparently not missed out on much, and is set to start recording her own album in the new year.
Tulisa said: "I really don’t think there was any more I could have done as her mentor. Her song choices and performances were incredible. She’s been getting record deals thrown at her left, right and centre."
The N-Dubz star continued: "I felt responsible to get her as far as I possibly could. If I wasn’t aiming for winning then I wasn’t doing my job properly. But I’m not worried about her future success.
"I can see a bit of myself in her – she’s all about the business and she doesn’t need wrapping up in cotton wool."
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Tulisa added: "She has an understanding of what she wants to be and how she wants to portray herself. I respect that, even if it’s very different from what I wanted at her age.
"She’s as focused as I was on that vision, so she knows where she wants to be."
