X Factor 2012 finalist Christopher Maloney has lost his voice on the weekend of the final!
The Daily Mirror reports that Chris has been put on voice rest ahead of tonight's live show after not being able to rehearse his songs for the weekend due to illness.
Speaking backstage in his final rehearsals, Chris (who's clearly not doing very well on voice rest) said: "As soon as this rehearsal is over I won't speak. I won't sing the high bit either I just want to conserve my energy for the show.
"This is something I do, I get that many people trying to talk to me.
"I want to keep it all and try to give it out in the competition.
"I was rehearsing all day on Thursday so now I need to keep it rested."
Tonight will see Chris perform two tracks, including a duet with mentor Gary Barlow.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper today: "Chris is putting on a brave face but it is unheard of to not sing a full version of a performance ahead of the final.
"But Chris is now paranoid his voice will go and won't risk it."
The X Factor 2012 continues tonight with the live final in Manchester from 8PM on ITV1.
Chris Maloney, Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur will be battling it out to be crowned winner, while there will be performances from One Direction, Kelly Clarkson, Rita Ora, Kylie Minogue, Rhianna and Emeli Sande.
