njoyed this series of the X Factor so “much more than last year”.
X Factor 2012 judge Gary Barlow reckons that this year's series has been better than last year's.
Despite a poor year for Gary's acts, losing three in the first month of the live finals, Gary says he's had a much better time this autumn.
And even with ratings nose diving, Gary reckons the show has been brilliant too.
Speaking at a press conference of this weekend's X Factor final, Gary said: "It’s been brilliant, I’ve really enjoyed it, much more than last year.
"I think X Factor is one of those things that you’ve got to do one series to just get it, to just understand what it is, and really understand what people want from the acts as well, it was a big learning year for me."
He continued: "This time all the things I dreaded last year, the auditions, I used to be on red alert, like what’s going to happen next, but this time I’ve just been like, 'Bring it on.'
"But this year it’s been a lot more low key and it’s been great. It’s given me more time to work with the acts. It’s just been fun, I’ve really, really enjoyed it.
In a bit of a swipe at last year's line up, gary claimed that the talent this year had been brilliant.
He said: “I think the talent has been brilliant this year, I think we’ll probably see five albums being made out of it.
“I feel proud. We’ve had a really good crop of talent.”
But despite the enjoyment, Gary refused to be drawn on whether or not he'd be back next year.
He said: "At this point I’ve been doing it for half a year, so I don’t even want to hear that question.
"Because all you want to do is get away from it, but who knows, who knows."
The X Factor 2012 continues tonight with the live final results in Manchester from 7:40PM on ITV1.
Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur will be battling it out to be crowned winner, while there will be performances from One Direction, Rhianna and Emeli Sande.
