X Factor 2012 judge Nicole Scherzinger has revealed she may not be back next year.
The singer is apparently hoping to leave the show on a high in order to focus on her music career.
Nicole previously revealed she wouldn't be performing on the show this year to focus on her boys James Arthur and Jahmene Douglas.
“I really want to [perform] but it’s all about finding the right time,” Nicole said. “When I commit, I commit 110 percent.
“I have put my music on the back burner. I’ve finished my album but I’m committed to helping my boys achieving their dreams.”
Speaking to The Sun this morning, Nicole admitted: “I’m really glad I did the show. I don’t know if I’ll come back next year. End on a high, right?”
The singer has already recorded her new single Boomerang for release in the new year, and hopes that her new fans from the show will help it do well.
She said: “This year has changed my life. As an artist, it’s put into perspective what I want, how to go about it.
“People have made me so comfortable and I have to thank you.”
It was claimed previously that Nicole has been the only judge this year to impress bosses and be invited to return for next year's tenth series.
“It is fair to say that Simon and the production team have been thrilled with Nicole’s performance. She has been absolutely great," a source said. “Simon is a huge fan of hers and the production team think she has been a revelation.
“There won’t be any decision on the make-up of the 2013 panel until next year but she has certainly made a good impression.
“Simon is really up for her coming back.”
For now, The X Factor 2012 continues this weekend with the live final in Manchester.
Chris Maloney, Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur will be battling it out to be crowned winner, while there will be performances from One Direction, Kelly Clarkson, Rita Ora, Kylie Minogue, Rhianna and Emeli Sande.
