X Factor 2012 finalists Christopher Maloney has admitted he's had the worst time on the show.
Chris returned to Liverpool with mentor Gary Barlow yesterday for his homecoming gig, playing to thousands of fans.
"It's been great being back in Liverpool because the support I've had back here has been incredible," Chris said. "I've had the worst time out of anybody in regards of critique and lies told about me with people making-up crazy stories.
"But I'm in the final three now so hopefully the next time I come back to Liverpool I'll be crowned the winner of the X Factor, so fingers crossed."
The former cruise ship singer said he was determined to prove his doubters wrong, including the judges!
He added: "I want to prove Tulisa and Louis wrong about me the most because they've given me such a hard time."
Chris spent yesterday at his nan's house with Gary before performing for fans at a free gig at Liverpool's Empire venue.
Chris said: "It's been amazing having Gary Barlow coming to my house because I've been waiting for that moment for all of my life.
"He was fantastic and got on really well with everyone. He was having cups of tea, cakes and biscuits and filled his face with my nan!"
The X Factor 2012 continues this weekend with the live final in Manchester.
Chris Maloney, Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur will be battling it out to be crowned winner, while there will be performances from One Direction, Kelly Clarkson, Rita Ora, Kylie Minogue, Rhianna and Emeli Sande.
