Just who is voting for Christopher Maloney on The X Factor 2012? Own up if you are!
It seems that once again the acst who are popular with the viewers aren't going to be the acts that go on to have any success.
We've seen it time and time again on the show, with past winners such as Matt Cardle and Joe McElderry quickly disappearing while the likes of Olly Murs and One Direction continue to top the charts.
Despite not winning, Olly this week held both the number one album and single, selling over 100,000 copies of this third studio album.
It's often claimed that 'nans' are behind voting for the likes of Chris or Joe, but The X Factor has the UK's highest young audience, as proven by the hysteria surrounding acts like One Direction and Union J.
Is it that younger viewers simply don't or can't afford to vote?
Even though acts like Chris and Joe manage to win the show with millions of supporters, for some reason these viewers often fail to buy the music they eventually release, leading to quite a comedown a year after the show has finished.
Jay in our comments had one suggestion as to why people are voting for Chris in particular thisyear, the 'Anti Vote'.
He wrote: "Hope the cabaret guy wins just to stick it to everyone else. I always support the underdog!"
Are you voting for Christopher? Would you buy his album?
