X Factor 2012: James Arthur set for homecoming gig in Teeside

James Arthur (X Factor 2012)

X Factor 2012 finalist James Arthur will perform at a homecoming gig in Middlesbrough tomorrow.

Last night saw Union J leave the show in the latest XFactor 2012 results, leaving the competition in fourth place.

There was no sing off or bottom two, with Union J leaving having received the fewest votes resulting in James Arthur, Christopher Maloney and Jahmene Douglas progressing through to the final.

This week will see each of the trio and their mentors head back to their hometown to ramp up support ahead of the weekend's final.

James and mentor Nicole Scherzinger are expected to be making an appearance on 4th December at Centre Square and Middlesbrough Town Hall.

The show is a ticketed event, but large crowds are expected to attend with local road closures in place from 4PM.

Free parking will be available at the Cleveland Centre to those that arrive before 4PM.

To get tickets to watch the gig, be sure to be listening to local Teeside radio station TFM throughout today.

Speaking about making the final last night, James revealed: "I like to win at things but I never really did. I realised I'm a lot more competitive when I started progressing through the rounds. Now I'm in the final, I'm here to win."
