XFactor 2012 results: Union J: 'This has been our dream'

Union J are upbeat despite missing out on the final in tonight's X Factor 2012 semi-final results.

Tonight saw Union J leave the show in the latest XFactor 2012 results, leaving the competition in fourth place.

There was no sing off or bottom two, with X leaving having received the fewest votes.

Speaking after their exit, the group's Josh said: "I'm so happy for how well we've done and we've got so much to thank The X Factor for.

Their mentor Louis Walsh added: "I'm a little bit disappointed, but we were ready for it. They're going to have an amazing future. They're the next big boy band!"

Lead singer Jaymi added: "This has been our dream, being right here performing... I can't describe how amazing it's been, we've loved every minute of it."

Speaking on Xtra Factor they added: "We're obviously we're gutted in the final but we're so grateful for this opportunity but we're so proud how far we've come.

"We didn't think we should've got through to week one, so thank you so much to everyone who voted, you've kept our dreams alive.

"We just want to thank Louis for getting us here, he's absolutely amazing."

The X Factor 2012 continues next weekend with the live final in Manchester.

Chris Maloney, Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur will be battling it out to be crowned winner, while there will be performances from One Direction, Kylie Minogue, Rhianna and Emeli Sande.
