Union J have become the latest act to be eliminated from The X Factor 2012, finishing the competition in fourth place.
Last night saw the remaining four X Factor finalists perform live for the ninth time, singing two tracks each.
The acts sung both a track for themselves and a song to get them into next weekend's final as the public were given the ultimate say in who went.
X Factor judges Nicole Scherzinger, Tulisa, Louis Walsh and Gary Barlow were stripped of their power as the sing off was axed.
It meant that there was no bottom two, with the act who received the fewest votes going home.
In a very tense announcement, Dermot O'Leary started by revealing that over a million votes had been cast over the weekend.
In no particular order, the first act through the final was James Arthur, he was followed by Christopher Maloney.
Jahmene Douglas was the third and final act announced safe, leaving Union J to be eliminated.
Speaking after their exit, the group's Josh said: "I'm so happy for how well we've done and we've got so much to thank The X Factor for.
Their mentor Louis Walsh added: "I'm a little bit disappointed, but we were ready for it. They're going to have an amazing future. They're the next big boy band!"
Lead singer Jaymi added: "This has been our dream, being right here performing... I can't describe how amazing it's been, we've loved every minute of it."
