XFactor 2012 semi-final results: Union J really don't want to leave!

Union J (X Factor 2012)

It's the X Factor 2012 semi final tonight, and the acts have been begging for votes.

After three weeks in the bottom two previously this series, Union J have been busy spamming Twitter all day pleading for their fans to vote.

It's a tactic which hasn't really worked yet, but with no bottom two tonight the boys can't rely on the judges saving them yet again.

The boys, who are the bookies favourites to go, tweeted: "VERY single one of your votes means so much to us guys. Just a couple of more hours to go. Josh, jaymi, George, JJ x"

They added: "Just a thanku to everyone who is outside the studios..thanku SO much for coming. We try our best to see everyone. You're all amazing. Josh x"

James Arthur, who has also been in the bottom two previously, admitted he was also nervous about tonight's impending result.

The competitive singer confessed he was determined to make the final three, saying it would mean a better deal for him.

He tweeted this evening: "I'm getting really nervous now people! Would love you to pick the phone up a few more times if you can or if you haven't already! #LOVE ja"

Jahmene Douglas and Christopher Maloney have been a lot more quiet, perhaps confident they won't be leaving.

The pair are the only acts to have not been in the bottom two previously and Jahmene is the favourite to win.

Chris tweeted earlier today: "good morning guys, just at rehearsals. just wanna say thank u all so much for everything. hope we make it all the way to final xx love u xx "

And Jahmene continued to fill his timeline with inspirational quotes.

He wrote: ""Love is life, and life is free, Take a ride on life with me. Free your mind and find your way, There will be a brighter day."
