X Factor 2012: Christopher Maloney claims judges will always criticize him

Chris Maloney (X Factor 2012)

XFactor 2012 semi-finalist Christopher Maloney has claimed that he'll never win over the judges.

Chris performed another two songs on last night's latest performance show, but the panel were split over the choices.

While Chris, for the first time, got praise from the panel for his cover of You Raise Me Up, his take on Michael Buble hit Haven't Met You Yet received the usual negative response.

It was the most current track Chris has performed on the show, but Louis told him he should've stuck to the 80s classics.

"I can't do anything right," said Chris after the performance show. "Whatever I sing I think they'll put me down. The first song got good comments but it didn't last.

"I was waiting for the neg comments to come back."

Speaking on the Xtra Factor, Chris revealed he much preferred his first performance, which he had dedicated to his fans and family.

"I wanted to sing the first one for my fans and my nan," he said. "I'm very pleased, I gave it all that I could."

Despite having been only one of two acts never to be in the sing off this year, Christopher insisted he wasn't confident about tonight's results.

He told Xtra Factor hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs last night: "I haven't pictured myself in the final, I'm just trying to get through day by day, week by week, I'm just so glad to be here."

There will be performances from Pink and Tulisa as well as the final elimination of the series.

There's no sing off on this evening's results, meaning act with the lowest votes will automatically get the axe.
