There's been plenty of rumours about the tenth series next year, currently the last to air on ITV1.
Gary Barlow has already intimated that this year could be his last on the X-Factor as a judge and William Hill are now betting on who will replace him.
Mel B is the 6/4 favourite with Cheryl Cole 6/1 to make a sensational return – the same price as Simon Cowell.
“With his Take That commitments and a potential solo career in the offing Barlow’s time will be stretched even thinner and after a suitably scathing performance during auditions, Mel B could be the one to benefit,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
But it may not just be Gary who's leaving, with claims that bosses hope to refresh the whole show.
No one is safe, with even Louis Walsh at risk of getting the chop.
Cheryl Cole is the second favourite to join the show after meeting Simon Cowell last month for apparent talks.
A source told The Sun last week: “He’s desperate to get Cheryl back on X Factor UK because it’s lost its way.
“The money on the table would be a fortune — at least double what she got last time. She could have what she wanted.”
Sharon Osbourne and Danii Minogue are also named as possible judges for the new show next year, while Simon himself is an outsider at 8/1.
The X Factor 2012 continues next weekend with the live final in Manchester.
Chris Maloney, Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur will be battling it out to be crowned winner, while there will be performances from One Direction, Kylie Minogue, Rhianna and Emeli Sande.
