X Factor 2012: Will Tulisa's debut solo album flop?

Tulisa (X Factor 2012)

X Factor 2012 judge Tulisa Contostavlos releases her debut album on Monday, but will it flop?

Tulisa's solo career away from N-Dubz has been rather up and down since her first single release back in the summer.

'Young' shot straight to number one, despite a rather abysmal vocal performance on Britain's Got Talent.

Follow up track Live It Up however failed to crack the top ten, although Tulisa insisted she didn't release the track for chart success.

Sunday night will see Tulisa performing her new song Sight Of You, a ballad, ahead of Monday's album release.

But pals fear the album could flop and cause an embarrassment to the X Factor judge, despite singing to millions on the live results show tomorrow night.

A source told The Sun newspaper today: “We’re not thinking it will be No1 — that’s never going to happen. It won’t be top five in a million years. But hopefully it will make the top ten.

“The X Factor thing is a risk as it might not translate into sales and everyone will just slag off her performance if it’s anything less than brilliant.”

Tulisa's album The Female Boss is available to pre-order now.

The X Factor 2012 live shows continue tonight on ITV1 and ITV1HD with the final four acts singing songs that they hope will get them into the final.

On Sunday's results show, one more act get the axe and there will be performances from Pink and Tulisa.
