X Factor news: Union J become victims of thieves

Union J (X Factor 2012)

XFactor 2012 stars Union J have become the victims of thieves, with George Shelley's laptop being pinched from the contestants' hotel.

Rogues managed to swipe the computer from George's hotel room, despite security around the boys and five star hotel already being tight.

Fortunately for George, the laptop and the perp were both found within 24 hours.

"George knew he had left his laptop in his room, so he didn’t understand how it could have been stolen," a source told the Daily Mirror. “He complained to the hotel’s security immediately and within 24 hours, they managed to locate it and find the perpetrator.

“The matter was dealt with, but now George is worried that the thief had time to access his private photos, emails and documents.

“It is a worry he feels he does not need so close to the semi-finals.”

Let's just hope there wasn't anything too revealing on there!

A spokesman for the Corinthia hotel in London said: “A hotel guest recently reported the loss of a personal laptop.

"Following a thorough investigation, the hotel security team quickly identified the responsible party.

"The laptop was returned to the guest within 24 hours.

“The hotel exercises a zero tolerance policy for rare incidents such as this, and has apologised for the inconvenience this must have caused.”
