X Factor 2012 hopeful Christopher Maloney has admitted he would love to duet with Gary Barlow.
It was claimed this morning that Chris has been 'forced' to sing with Gary if he makes the final after big named stars refused to perform alongside him.
Sorry, Jane McDonald.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: “Christopher has never been in the bottom two before and bosses are working on the likelihood that he will be in the final — and this has caused a real headache for them.
“In the past, the acts who have reached the final have had some sort of star quality or credibility which has attracted big-name talent wanting to perform with them.
“But unfortunately that is just not the case with Christopher. He has got a good voice — but it is fair to say he is probably the uncoolest singer to have ever got this far.
“So producers have lined up Gary to sing with him instead."
However Chris wasn't too upset at the prospect of singing alongside the Take That star.
Speaking at last night's Talk Talk gig, Chris told DigitalSpy: "My dream come true if I get to the final would be Gary.
"He's been such a brilliant mentor and he's turned into a really good friend. I wouldn't pick anybody else."
And Chris admitted that being the show's 'hate figure' has been upsetting for him and his family.
Speaking ahead of the weekend's semi-final, he said: "It upsets me a little bit. All I'm doing, I wanna do well for myself.
"And I wanna do well for my family and everyone who's supported me and brought me in as a wild card."
The X Factor 2012 continues this weekend on ITV1 and ITV1HD with the final four acts singing songs that they hope will get them into the final.
On Sunday's results show, one more act get the axe and there will be performances from Pink and Tulisa.
