Former X Factor star Kitty Brucknell has been giving Simon Cowell her tips on saving The X Factor.
In an open letter to the music mogul, Kitty revealed her ideas to win viewers back.
The singer from last year's series began: "This year something has gone badly wrong, and I want to offer my thoughts on what could be done to restore fans faith in the shows."
Kitty claimed that bosses should ditch the theme weeks and "boring" song choices, and suggested that this year's wild card twist had backfired.
She wrote: "Chris Maloney's return has generated him loads of public support - at the expense of greats singers, like Ella Henderosn."
Kitty also told Simon to return and take charge, begging him to ditch the back stories of the contestants and focus on the music.
And Kitty suggested that this year's judging line up were too nice and boring.
She said: "I miss you, Simon. And while I love all of this year's judges - especially Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh - they're not criticisng the acts - or each other - enough, which makes for boring viewing."
