XFactor 2012: Simon Cowell's not interfering in UK series, says Louis Walsh

Louis Walsh has claimed that - despite reports - Simon Cowell isn't interfering in the UK series.

It's been said that Simon is unhappy with the current line up of finalists and is apparently praying that Christopher Maloney won't win the show.

The X Factor boss tweeted over the weekend: "To everyone voting in the UK tonight. Please vote for who you believe could be a star next year. It’s in your hands.

“Very interesting end coming up for X Factor. I think the final is going to be very interesting! I have my own favourite.”

Meanwhile, an insider told The Sun newspaper today: “This is Simon Cowell’s worst nightmare.

“If Maloney wins, it will ruin any credibility the show still has. There is a fear of a campaign by some viewers to make Chris the winner in order to give the show a good kicking. But it’s up to the public vote, which is worrying everyone.”

However Louis told the official X Factor website that Simon is too busy on the US show to care about us Brits!

He said: "Simon chatted with me a few weeks ago. His hands are pretty full at the moment with the American X Factor.

"He hasn’t been interfering with what we’re doing over here - he’s letting us get on with it."

The X Factor 2012 continues this weekend on ITV1 and ITV1HD with the final four acts singing songs that they hope will get them into the final.

On Sunday's results show, one more act get the axe and there will be performances from Pink and Tulisa.
