Caroline Flack has defended X Factor's Christopher Maloney, after the singer was booed once again on last night's show.
Rylan Clark became the latest singer to leave the competition in yesterday evening's XFactor 2012 results after he fell into the bottom two with Union J.
Louis Walsh, Tulisa and Gary Barlow all sent Rylan home with only Rylan's mentor Nicole Scherzinger saving him.
The result was met by annoyance from some fans in the audience, and Tulisa who hasn't hidden her dislike for Chris.
While Xtra Factor's Caroline also hasn't been Chris' biggest fan, even she admitted: “There are a lot of boos and I feel really sorry for him when I hear those boos, I think anyone getting those boos…it’s horrible.”
Speaking on This Morning today, the petite telly host continued: “He’s there on his own, he is in the competition like everyone else and people are voting for him.
"He’s not doing anything different to anyone else, he’s not asking for extra votes, he’s not getting any extra air time.”
But Caroline couldn't help but get a slight dig in, suggesting the cruise ship singer was only getting votes because people were feeling sorry for him.
She said: “I think what’s happening is that people are feeling sorry for him and perhaps that’s why they are voting.”
Chris previously admitted that the booing made him feel "awful" on the live shows.
He added to Xtra Factor hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs at the weekend: “It’s a competition and I’m working really hard, I hope the public keep voting for me, the support has been fantastic.
“It’s awful to be booed, it’s not for me but for my family who are in the audience, it’s not very nice for them.”
