Nicole Scherzinger is set to return to The X Factor UK next year, but Gary Barlow's future is in doubt!
X Factor producers are said to have been "thrilled" with Nicole's performance on the show this year, after she flopped on the US series last year.
Having become the first judge in history to get all her acts through to the quarter finals, Nicole's remaining acts are both hot tips to win.
A source told The Sun today: “It is fair to say that Simon and the production team have been thrilled with Nicole’s performance. She has been absolutely great.
“Simon is a huge fan of hers and the production team think she has been a revelation.
“There won’t be any decision on the make-up of the 2013 panel until next year but she has certainly made a good impression.
“Simon is really up for her coming back.”
Tulisa's moody attitude could cost her a spot on the panel, while Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh could both be axed to fresh up the panel next year.
An insider told the newspaper: “Tulisa has got to pull her socks up.”
Simon and Gary's rocky relationship has been no secret, and the Take That frontman could be replaced for next year's tenth series.
Bosses are planning a radical shake up of the series and format that won't just stop at the judges' desk.
Plans are also in place to reveal the full voting figures live on Sunday nights, similar to the US series, while a cash prize could be offered like Britain's Got Talent to entice more hopefuls to apply.
The X Factor 2012 continues this weekend on ITV1 and ITV1HD with Sunday's results show, one more act get the axe, and there will be performances from Pink and Tulisa.
