X Factor judge Gary Barlow has vowed to stand by Christopher Maloney.
Rylan Clark became the latest singer to leave the competition in this evening's XFactor 2012 results after he fell into the bottom two with Union J.
Louis Walsh, Tulisa and Gary Barlow all sent Rylan home with only Rylan's mentor Nicole Scherzinger saving him.
Chris survived again, much to the annoyance of Tulisa and some members of the studio audience.
Chris' mentor Gary said he was standing by the Liverpudlian singer: "We have these acts and we stand by them.
"We take our categories and we stand by our people and that's our job. People have voted for him."
Tulisa however wasn't sure, and claimed that Gary would be slating Chris if he wasn't mentoring him.
Meanwhile, Nicole Scherzinger admitted Chris could win the show.
She told Xtra Factor hosts Olly Murs and Caroline Flack tonight: "It's unpredictable, I have no idea what's going to happen but I feel very confident about my boys, we're going to put our best foot forward next week."
Quizzed on whether she thought Chris should've gone, Nicole diplomatically replied: "I don't know, like Tulisa said last week, it's not my style to put anyone else down. I'm just grateful that Rylan lasted this long, I'm so proud of him."
The X Factor 2012 continues next weekend on ITV1 and ITV1HD with Sunday's results show, one more act get the axe, and there will be performances from Pink and Tulisa.
