X Factor wannabe Chris Maloney was fired from his old job for lunging at a woman, it's been claimed.
The allegations come after it was alleged this morning that X Factor's Chris strangled a former colleague on the cruise ship he worked on.
As well as being a cabaret entertainer, Chris also worked at a debt collection agency, before moving to his current job at a call centre.
A former workmate of Chris told the Daily Mirror today: "His boss said something she would normally say and he said, ‘Who are you talking to?’. Then he tried to get to her across the desk. A male colleague had to stand between them to stop him. Chris was dismissed for serious misconduct.”
Another of Chris' former colleagues said: “He launched himself at her. It was the talk of the office."
She claimed: “That isn’t the real Maloney you see on TV, he’s got a temper on him. I’m surprised people haven’t seen through him.
“He used to intimidate people he worked with. They were only teen-agers. One moment he would be dead nice then he would just switch. If someone said something he didn’t like you could see it in his eyes.”
Chris denies the claims while his former boss refused to comment to the newspaper as to why he was dismissed.
Last night saw Chris split the panel with his performances, but mentor Gary Barlow stuck up for the Liverpudlian performer.
The Take That star said on the Xtra Factor: "He is a guy from Liverpool who is just singing on a talent show and [the hate is] like he’s killed somebody. Give him a break for God’s sake.”
