Simon Cowell has been begging X Factor fans not to vote for Christopher Maloney today.
The music mogul is no longer a judge on the series but has certainly been keeping a close eye on the live shows!
Writing on Twitter after the latest live show in the States, Simon said: "Very interesting end coming up for X factor in the uk. I think the final is going to be very interesting! I have my own favourite."
And in a rather obvious dig at Christopher Maloney, Simon called on voters to vote for the singers who could become stars.
He tweeted: "To everyone voting in the uk tonight. Please vote for who you believe could be a star next year. It's in your hands."
It was claimed recently that Simon was fearing Chris winning the show, with the Liverpudlian one of only two acts not to have been in the bottom two.
A source said: “Simon is worried he could be left with a Steve Brookstein-style embarrassment if Chris wins.
“He’s not confident Chris would be a global star and thinks there is far more deserving talent. he desperately wants people to vote sensibly.”
Chris however hit back at the rumours about Simon Cowell.
He said: “I don’t really care what he thinks.
“It seems like underhand tactics are being used to paint a false picture of me and sway the public vote.”
The X Factor 2012 continues tonight on ITV1 and ITV1HD, with the final five acts sing two tracks each with Abba and Motown themes.
Sunday's results show will see one more act get the axe, and there will be performances from Rhianna and Bruno Mars.
