X Factor boss Simon Cowell is apparently worrying, as Christopher Maloney continues to attract votes.
Leaked X Factor voting percentages have revealed recently that Chris has been topping the polls.
The Daily Mirror report today that rather than slowing down, Chris' votes have actually been picking up in recent weeks as the final nears.
It's given Christopher the confidence to think he could actually win the show next month in Manchester.
He told the newspaper today: "I go out week after week and all I get is bad comments, but it’s so close to the final now I could win.
“I’m working harder than any other contestant probably ever in the competition.”
Chris is one of only two acts left, along with Jahmene Douglas, who has yet to be in the bottom two.
"Obviously if they didn't want me there they wouldn't be voting for me, so clearly they are picking up the phone and voting," Chris said.
Speaking about last weekend's elimination, Chris continued: "It goes to show that people are not picking up the phone and stuff... but it was bitter sweet - I was really really happy that I got through but I also felt for Ella as well."
Manwhile, an X Factor source blabbed: “There are concerns over whether Chris would – to quote Louis – be able to be an international recording artist.
"In the end it’s up to the public. They need to vote for their favourites and not presume they will get through automatically.”
Proving he was nervous, Simon Cowell tweeted this morning: "To everyone voting in the uk tonight. Please vote for who you believe could be a star next year. It's in your hands."
The X Factor 2012 continues tonight on ITV1 and ITV1HD, with the final five acts sing two tracks each with Abba and Motown themes.
Sunday's results show will see one more act get the axe, and there will be performances from Rhianna and Bruno Mars.
