Rylan Clark is the favourite to leave the XFactor 2012 this weekend, but could another shock be in store?
Gary Barlow has made it clear for a number of weeks that Rylan Clark has out stayed his X Factor welcome and he may finally get his wish this week as the Essex boy is 11/10 favourite to get the boot this weekend. Barlow’s own act, Christopher Maloney, is the 15/8 second favourite to be eliminated.
Following Ella Henderson’s shock exit last weekend, William Hill are offering 20/1 that more of the same sees Jahmene eliminated this week and James Arthur is a 16/1 chance to be the one to go. Union J are in the middle at 10/3.
“Gary has made no secret of his objection to Rylan’s continued place on the show but it looks as though his constant sniping has had the opposite effect and given the voting masses an underdog to root for”, said William Hill spokesman Mark Young.
James Arthur is looking to bounce back from last week’s bottom two disappointment and William Hill think that his fans will be picking up their phones this week making him 9/2 to be in the bottom two and 16/1 to leave. The favourite to go is Rylan Clark at 11/10 with Christopher Maloney 15/8.
If another shock is to be on the cards, James and the 4/5 favourite Jahmene Douglas are 50/1 to be the bottom two combination this week. Rylan and Union J is the favourite combo at 6/4 with the controversial acts of Rylan and Christopher a 5/2 chance.
“The X Factor has had a number of shocks so far this series and with Rylan still in the competition, there is still time left for there to be a couple more,” said William Hill spokesman Mark Young.
The X Factor 2012 continues tonight on ITV1 and ITV1HD, with the final five acts sing two tracks each with Abba and Motown themes.
Sunday's results show will see one more act get the axe, and there will be performances from Rhianna and Bruno Mars.
