X Factor's Christopher Maloney has once again gone on the defensive, saying he deserves his spot in the competition.
Chris was booed by the audience at the weekend after he avoided elimination again, as Ella Henderson was eliminated against James Arthur in the sing off.
Speaking on This Morning yesterday, Chris declared: "I deserve to be here. You know, I'm probably one of the hardest working contestants - you know, every day, day in, day out. I'm working so hard just to make myself better.”
He added: “And because I was a wild card, the public voted me in. I'm not doing it just for myself, I'm doing it for the public that voted me in."
Chris is one of only two acts left, along with Jahmene Douglas, who has yet to be in the bottom two.
"Obviously if they didn't want me there they wouldn't be voting for me, so clearly they are picking up the phone and voting," Chris said.
Speaking about last weekend's elimination, Chris continued: "It goes to show that people are not picking up the phone and stuff... but it was bitter sweet - I was really really happy that I got through but I also felt for Ella as well."
The X Factor 2012 continues this Saturday on ITV1 and ITV1HD, with the final five acts sing two tracks each with Abba and Motown themes.
Sunday's results show will see one more act get the axe, and there will be performances from Rhianna and Bruno Mars.
