X Factor 2012: JLS say show needs Simon Cowell back

JLS

X Factor stars JLS have said that they want to see Simon Cowell back on the show.

The group, who finished as runners up on the show back in 2008, claimed that Simon was the best judge in the world.

Speaking at the launch of their own Christmas show, A JLS Christmas on Sky1, dad to be Marvin Humes told BANG Showbiz: "Simon has to return, he has to. He's the best judge in the world. He has to return, definitely.

" He still does 'Britain's Got Talent' and US 'X Factor' so with his schedule it will be very difficult but I think he has to come back."

The boys also defended Christopher Maloney and Rylan Clark from the hate that they've been getting, saying that viewers needed to calm down after Ella Henderson was eliminated at the weekend.

Aston Merrygold said: "Every year it's the same thing. This is the thing about the show. It happens every year. Someone has to go.

"If people don't vote for them, they will go home. This is how these shows have worked for the past 10 years or whatever it is. We've seen it over the years, it's always the same thing.

"There's a campaign that will go on, and people will say we want this person back. It happens. It happened in our year with Laura White."

Marvin added: "One thing I don't like is the witch hunt with Chris and Rylan. I think it's unfair. Those guys, all they did was enter a competition to try to change their lives and get exposure.

"It's not their fault they're still here. People are voting for them. Everyone says this thing about a fix. What is a fix?"

He added: "When people say it's a fix I don't understand what they mean. It's ridiculous. I think if something was a fix the favourite would win. It doesn't make sense to me."
