X Factor finalist Christopher Maloney has accused the show's judges of trying to get him eliminated.
It's fair to say that Louis Walsh in particular hasn't been too secretive about his thoughts on Chris.
The weekend saw the judges react generally positively to the Liverpudlian singer's performance of Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse Of The Heart, but Chris was skeptical.
Rather than being overwhelmed by the positive comments, Chris said: "It was weird. Though, I do wonder if they are being tactical. Maybe the Judges thought: ‘Ah, if we keep on being mean to Chris, maybe people will keep on feeling sorry for him and voting him in.’"
However Chris added: "Tulisa’s comments meant a lot. She acknowledged that I’m good at my genre of music. Admittedly, she wouldn’t buy an album of mine. I’m just pleased that she recognised that I can actually sing."
Despite the judges' apparent effort to get him out, Chris remained on the show, and thanked his fans.
He told the official ITV1 X Factor website: "I’m philosophical about it all. What will be, will be. At the end of the day, I’ve tried my best. I’m delighted to still be in the competition and I’m working my socks off. I’m very grateful to everyone that keeps voting. I wish I could thank each and every one of them individually.
Chris added: "My Scouse spirit has seen me through. It’s like water of a duck’s back. I’m no diva! I wouldn’t run around after my Nan if I was precious or had ideas above my station."
The X Factor 2012 continues this Saturday on ITV1 and ITV1HD, with the final five acts sing two tracks each with Abba and Motown themes.
Sunday's results show will see one more act get the axe, and there will be performances from Rhianna, Tulisa and Bruno Mars.
