X Factor's Rylan Clark has hit out at Christopher Maloney, insisting that the diva claims aren't lies.
Chris has come under attack from fellow contestants and even the show's judges throughout the series, over his attitude backstage.
Speaking to the official ITV1 X Factor website recently, Louis Walsh said of Chris: "I don’t get him! He’s very old fashioned. What’s the cheesiest cheese? Cheddar! Yes, he’s vintage cheddar all the way.”
Louis added: “In my eyes, he’s definitely the biggest diva behind-the-scenes. From what I hear, he demands the most backstage!”
In a similar interview today with the official website, Rylan commented: "Stuff gets exaggerated but there is substance to some of the things that have been printed about Chris."
Meanwhile Chris hit back at the claims in a different interview with heat magazine.
He explained: “I’m keeping my feet on the ground and not doing anything wrong. Because I’m not doing anything wrong, maybe that’s why they’re printing lies about me.
“I’m the same person off-camera as I am on… All the negativity and crap I’ve been getting – people trying to bring me down and maybe force me to quit – it’s not going to happen.
“No way. I’ve worked too hard just for somebody to take it away from me.”
Chris' mentor Gary Barlow has also been defending Chris this week.
“Chris’ doing great. Sunday nights are supposed to be full of dread but he springs in and out of my dressing room. I’m so happy to see that he’s enjoying himself," he said.
The Take That star continued: “He’s had the most criticism out of everybody. I only know what I see. For me, he’s really easy to work with. Whenever I’m around him, he’s the loveliest, sweetest man ever.
