X Factor 2012 judge Tulisa blames herself for Ella Henderson's exit from the show.
Ella became the latest singer to leave the competition in Sunday evening's shocking XFactor 2012 results after she fell into the bottom two with James Arthur.
The judges couldn't split the pair and sent the decision to deadlock, with Ella leaving having received the fewest public votes.
Discussing the results, it seems that Tulisa was more upset than Ella herself.
"[Tulisa] was just absolutely gutted for me and I think she felt like she was to blame," Ella said. “She said we should have reminded people more of how important it is to vote and how you can’t assume you’re going to make your way to the final.
“I was telling her, ‘Please don’t feel that way at all. You’ve done absolutely everything you could and stuck by me from day one’.
“She’s not just helped me build as a performer but as a person, she’s really driven me and brought a confidence out that I never used to have."
The 16-year-old continued: “I think I was her last remaining girl and she threw everything she had into me. When they lose their final act it’s not a nice feeling for them.
"It wouldn’t be nice for any of the judges. She did everything she could, I think she felt bad on my behalf. She didn’t want me to think I’d done anything wrong.
“I definitely have got a close friendship there for life.”
Ella's elimination from the show has seen the odds to win shaken up, with Jahmene Douglas and even Christopher Maloney now the front runners.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: "This was one of the biggest TV betting upsets of all time. Jahmene was the big winner and he's now in pole position for X Factor glory."
He added: "The purists will be leading a campaign to bring back Ella. Sadly for her the odds suggest the show is more likely to be cancelled."
The X Factor 2012 continues this Saturday on ITV1 and ITV1HD, with the final five acts sing two tracks each with Abba and Motown themes.
Sunday's results show will see one more act get the axe, and there will be performances from Rhianna, Tulisa and Bruno Mars.
