Rylan Clark was in tears on the X Factor 2012 tonight after Ella Henderson was eliminated.
Ella became the latest singer to leave the competition in this evening's shocking XFactor 2012 results after she fell into the bottom two with James Arthur.
The judges couldn't split the pair and sent the decision to deadlock, with Ella leaving having received the fewest public votes.
Speaking on the Xtra Factor, Rylan said: "Ella should be in the final, she is like a sister. I am so gutted. 100%…I feel so guilty.”
In tears, he added to Caroline Flack and Olly Murs: “I can’t thank people enough for voting for me but I am so gutted for her."
And defending James Arthur, Rylan added: "I will make it well known that this boy is one of the most talented boys I have ever met in my life and he did not deserve to be where he was tonight.”
Meanwhile speaking on This Morning, Caroline said: “Rylan has always admitted he’s not the best singer in the competition and he feels guilty that he’s still there and she’s gone. That’s why he was so upset. It’s not his fault.”
She added: “There is always a shock exit and people assumed that Ella would be safe, they didn’t vote and unfortunately she left.”
Rylan tweeted last night: "Tonight I've lost my little sister @ella_henderson . Her and @JamesArthur23 should not have been there. They are my 1st and 2nd. X"
The X Factor 2012 continues this Saturday on ITV1 and ITV1HD, with the final five acts sing two tracks each with Abba and Motown themes.
Sunday's results show will see one more act get the axe, and there will be performances from Rhianna, Tulisa and Bruno Mars.
