X Factor 2012 judge Nicole Scherzinger has said she doesn't want to see Simon Cowell return.
Nicole judged alongside Simon on the US X Factor last year, but admitted she was worried about him joining her on the UK show.
It was reported this week that Simon had agreed to return to The X Factor UK next year for at least six shows.
A source claimed: “Simon is a worried man. The ratings have not been great, which spells trouble for the future.
“He is starting to accept that he’s needed at the helm, it’s a real possibility that he’ll come back for next year’s series – which could also be the last.”
However Nicole said: "I don’t want to see Simon come back. I think we’ve got a good family and Tulisa, Gary and Louis are all holding their own.
“Simon has got his own thing going on in the US and I know the US embrace and love him."
Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday, Nicole continued: “When I left the US X Factor it was because the elimination process was really hard for me.
“Every Sunday I would lose my sparkle and get kind of upset. But I’ve come back a lot stronger this year."
She explained: “On the UK show I get to be myself more and people allow me to express myself.
“The British people give me confidence.
“People here are bonkers so it makes me feel I can be bonkers too.”
The X Factor 2012 continues this Saturday on ITV1 and ITV1HD, with the final five acts sing two tracks each with Abba and Motown themes.
Sunday's results show will see one more act get the axe, and there will be performances from Rhianna, Tulisa and Bruno Mars.
