X Factor 2012 star Jahmene Douglas is reportedly refusing to sing a Katy Perry for this weekend's show.
The Sun reports today that the 21-year-old doesn't want to perform the US singers chart topping hit Last Friday Night, because it's about drinking.
The track was meant to be this week's group song, but Jahmene's protest over the lyrics has seen it changed.
"Bosses are desperately trying to find a new song for this weekend’s group ensemble after Jahmene’s refusal," a source told the newspaper this morning. “The six remaining acts were supposed to perform Last Friday Night but Jahmene has said no. The song is about partying and drinking and Jahmene is teetotal.
“He has made it clear from the start that he won’t sing songs about drinking and when he heard this track he was adamant he wouldn’t perform it.
“Bosses have respected his wishes and it’s all hands on deck to get a new song ready in time for Sunday.”
The paper reports that deeply religious Jahmene has always been against the show's use of booze.
The source added to the tabloid: “When all the contestants went out for Rylan Clark’s birthday party he really didn’t like it.
“Even at judges’ houses, when he was given a glass of champagne to hold, he refused to even have it in his hand.”
The X Factor continues with its live shows this weekend with a guilty pleasures theme.
Sunday's results show will feature performances from Alicia Keys and Olly Murs, as well as one more act being given the boot.
