X Factor's Christopher Maloney has revealed he hopes to duet with Bette Midler, if he makes it to the final
Having avoided the bottom two so far, Chris is certainly on course to be in Manchester next month.
As the latest remaining act in Gary Barlow's Overs category, Chris has come under fire for his dated covers and karaoke themed performances but said he's not plans on stopping.
Speaking at the premiere of the new Twlight movie this week, Chris revealed he hopes to sing The Rose with Bette Midler in the final, having originally performed the song at his first audition.
"It started in Liverpool with a Bette Midler song, I'd love to do a Bette Midler duet," he told Digitalspy "I very much doubt it, but it would be a wish of mine."
The Liverpudlian singer also hit back at various rumours in the tabloids recently suggesting he has been a diva backstage.
"We did a show at Disneyland a couple of days ago in front of a couple of thousand people and that's given me the confidence to go out there and sing, regardless of what the judges say and what the negative press is," Chris explained/
"If it was true, I wouldn't mind. If it was true, I'd be upset. But because it isn't true, it doesn't bother me.
"I don't know where some of the stories are coming from, but they're absolutely ridiculous."
The X Factor continues with its live shows this weekend with a guilty pleasures theme.
Sunday's results show will feature performances from Alicia Keys and Olly Murs, as well as one more act being given the boot.
