X Factor's Rylan Clark has admitted he nearly quit the show over death threats.
In an interview with new! magazine this week, Rylan revealed how he has been bombarded with abuse on social networks.
"There’s been loads of homophobic stuff and death threats," the 23-year-old said. "I was blocking everyone. I nearly came off Twitter altogether. But when you get one positive tweet it’s worth it."
And it's those messages of support that have continued to spur Rylan on to fight for his spot in the competition.
He said: "I get loads of messages from 16-year-old gay lads saying they’ve come out to their parents because of me.
"I didn’t realise going on the show would help someone else other than myself."
Rylan also revealed he's been enjoying a bit of a bromance with Gary Barlow's pal Robbie Williams!
He said: "He’s the ultimate man in the world. Not only did Robbie tweet about me, but when he shouted during his Candy performance: ‘Vote Rylan!’ I thought: ‘Rob, you legend!’ I gave him a massive kiss.
"Gary [Barlow] said: ‘He’s just doing it to wind me up'. But Robbie said to me: ‘You don’t realise – I want you in my life one way or the other'. I was like: ‘Godparent?’ And he said: ‘Sorted'.
"I said: ‘If it doesn’t work out with Ayda [Field], you and me will run away together'. And he said: ‘I’m bang up for that'. So watch this space!"
The X Factor continues with its live shows this weekend with a guilty pleasures theme.
Sunday's results show will feature performances from Alicia Keys and Olly Murs, as well as one more act being given the boot.
