Kye became the sixth act to leave the live shows after appearing in the bottom two for the second time with Rylan Clark.
The judges once again sent the vote to deadlock, with Kye leaving having received the fewest public votes.
Kye admitted he was annoyed at Tulisa for not judging it on the singing, but didn't expect anything from her!
"I’m surprised Tulisa didn’t really judge it on the singing," he told new! magazine this week. "I was annoyed because when Carolynne [Poole] was in the bottom two, she voted to send Rylan home. That was a bit frustrating."
But Kye added: "I expected [Tulisa] not to vote for me because she didn't vote for me the last time so I wasn't holding my breath."
Despite being kicked out of the show, and not making it onto the tour, Kye revealed he hopes to work with mentor Gary Barlow in the near future.
He said: "I’ve been talking to Gary about working with him. Hopefully I’m going to do some writing with him in the new year.
"Robbie’s given me his seal of approval, which means the world to me. I’d love to work with Robbie!"
Meanwhile Rylan has insisted he gets on with everyone of the finalists, even though he's not the strongest singer in the competition.
He said: "I get on with absolutely everyone but when I'm on stage I've got to try and hold my ground because I'm not the strongest singer there and I've got a lot more to give when it comes to performance."
The X Factor continues with its live shows this weekend with a guilty pleasures theme.
Sunday's results show will feature performances from Alicia Keys and Olly Murs, as well as one more act being given the boot.
