X Factor 2012 finalists being paid £50 a week

The X Factor 2012 finalists are being paid just £50 a week, it's been claimed.

Each of the acts are given a £50 fee while they're on the show, although the producers provide most of what they need.

A source told The Sun newspaper today: “The X Factor is a talent show and not considered employment.

"Bosses provide everything on top of the £50 — including accommodation and food.”

However Essex performer Rylan Clark, who once again avoided elimination last night, isn't happy!

He quipped: “It’s not even enough to cover one of my waxes.”

The X Factor continues with its live shows this weekend with a guilty pleasures theme.

Sunday's results show will feature performances from Alicia Keys and Olly Murs, as well as one more act being given the boot.
