Eliminated X Factor act District3 have insisted that this is only the start for them.
Ditrict3 became the latest singers to leave the show in last night's X Factor 2012 results, after singing off against rival band Union J.
The judges decided to send District3 home, with Louis Walsh refusing to vote between the two groups.
Speaking to host Dermot O'Leary after their exit, the boys said: “It’s the most gutting feeling in the world but we just want to say a massive thank you to everybody, everyone backstage, everyone who has made this experience life changing for us.”
They added: “And thank you to the judges for getting us to this point, we are so grateful.”
Their mentor Louis admitted “I’m not happy. They didn’t get enough votes.”
He explained: "Nothing was wrong, they just didn't get enough votes. I hope they get a record real, they're a ready made pop act. Maybe the two boy bands were splitting the vote, they've been a dream to work with.
Meanwhile District3, originally named GMD3, continued: “We have had an amazing time and we know this is not the end for us. It is really just the start.”
Asked about their highlight of the show, the boys revealed: "Performing every Saturday night has been such a phenomenal feeling, hopefully it's not the last.
