Christopher Maloney has admitted he was upset after being booed on The X Factor.
The Liverpudlian singer survived for another week last night, after avoiding the bottom two.
The judges decided to send District3 home, with Louis Walsh refusing to vote between the two groups.
As Chris was saved, some of the crowd booed, something which Chris confessed was hard to deal with.
“To hear booing is tough," he told the Daily Star newspaper at the weekend. “And it’s not nice to hear people saying things that are unfounded to try to get me off the show. I haven’t got time to vote for myself.
“Because I’m older than the other acts I feel I’ve got a lot to prove, so the negativity gets me down.
“I’m meant to be living the dream but I’m finding it tough. And doing X Factor should be boosting my confidence but it isn’t."
Chris, who previously claimed the judges' harsh comments were harming his nan's health, added: “You have to be mentally strong to do this show. Lots of people wouldn’t be able to take it.”
The X Factor continues with its live shows this weekend with a guilty pleasures theme.
Sunday's results show will feature performances from Alicia Keys and Olly Murs, as well as one more act being given the boot.
