X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has confessed that she fears Ella Henderson is too popular.
Speaking on the Xtra Factor last night, Tulisa claimed that she felt viewers would think Ella is safe and not vote to keep her in the competition.
“I know for a fact that Ella has a lot of love across the UK but I think people may assume that she’s safe because she hasn’t been in the bottom two yet and she’s the last girl standing," Tulisa told Xtra Factor's Olly Murs and Caroline Flack.
She added: “I think that belief that she’s fine, is what is going to stop her from going all the way.”
Meanwhile Ella revealed she and Tulisa had been discussing her favourite tag backstage on the show.
“I’ve spoken to Tulisa about being the favourite to win and she said I need to not let it affect me, so I am trying to just carry on and do my own thing," the 16-year-old said. “I’m trying not to take it on board.”
Supposed leaked X Factor voting stats revealed last night that Ella had only been narrowly escaping the bottom two.
An X Factor source said: “It may be that Ella’s fans think she is walking it and so they don’t need to vote for her. If that’s the case they couldn’t be more mistaken.
“After a fairly strong start when she was in the top three for a few weeks, support has fallen away.
“For the last couple of weeks she has been languishing just a couple of percent above the bottom two."
