X Factor 2012: Chris Maloney won't stop singing cheesy tracks

Christopher Maloney (X Factor 2012)

Chris Maloney has said he's no plans to stop singing cheesy tracks on the show.

It was reported this week that cruise ship Chris has been topping the vote, according to leaked X Factor voting results.

Chris has revealed he's not going to change what seems to be working, and told fans not to expect him singing
any "obscure indie song" next week!

He told the official ITV1 X Factor website: "I’ve stuck to my guns. I was voted in by the public and I owe it to them to stay true to myself by performing songs that I love and hopefully they like.

"It would be unfair to pretend to be someone I’m not. I love all the razzmatazz that comes with singing a power ballad."

Chris told the website that he did take the judges' advice on board, saying: "I appreciate the Judges’ feedback. I do take their advice on-board. Although, I think Louis’ comments have been below the belt at times."

And quizzed on what type of cheese each of the judges would be, quiz quipped: "Louis would be a mouldy cheese, Nicole a nice slab of brie, Gary a cheese slice because they’re very popular and everyone likes them. Tulisa would be a blue cheese because you either like her or you don’t."

The X Factor continues with its live shows this weekend with a Best Of British theme.

Sunday's results show will feature performances from One Direction and Little Mix, as well as one more act being given the boot.
