Former X Factor finalist Frankie Cocozza has claimed that he feels sorry for this year's contestants.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Frankie hit out at producers for setting him up on last year's series.
The teenage performer - who this week released his first single - was booted out of the show halfway through last autumn.
And in an honest interview about his time on the show, Frankie said: "I feel sorry for the kids who are on that show now. I had absolutely no idea what I was getting myself into."
He explained: "All that hype about me being a party animal. I was laughing at the other contestants because they weren't allowed out of the X Factor house and I was.
"I was getting VIP passes to all the top clubs. I never stopped to wonder why they let me do that, but then it became clear - I think I was being put across as the bad boy on the show."
Frankie revealed: "I would tell them where I was going and wherever I arrived there would be 50 paps waiting for me. It was like they had been tipped off.
"And X Factor even filmed me in a club one night for the show, so I thought I was doing what they wanted."
The X Factor continues with its live shows this weekend with a Best Of British theme.
Sunday's results show will feature performances from One Direction and Little Mix, as well as one more act being given the boot.
