Despite being tipped for an early exit, bookies aren't ruling out Rylan Clark making the X Factor 2012 final.
Rylan Clark survived by the skin of his teeth for the second time this series on Sunday night as the sing off went to deadlock. He is 12/1 with William Hill to make it to the top three in this year’s competition and odds on to survive another two weeks at 10/11. He is 9/4 to be eliminated this weekend and 5/2 next.
District 3 are the 2/1 favourites to be eliminated this weekend with Rylan a 9/4 shot. Christopher Maloney is 11/4 and Union J are 6/1 for this weekend’s chop.
Gary Barlow only has one act remaining and is 1/2 to be the first mentor to lost all his acts. Louis Walsh is 6/4 to lose both District 3 and Union J first with Tulisa at 25/1 and Nicole 33/1.
“Rylan survived again and we don’t think he will be leaving any time soon. He is an outsider for the final but he does have public support. Gary Barlow has lost three acts already and could be out of the competition very soon,” said William Hill spokesman Mark Young.
Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack told This Morning on Monday that Rylan had The X Factor.
Discussing Rylan's performance at the weekend, Caroline said: “He did a little bit of a ballad then he went into one of his big routines but then he sang a ballad on our show and then a ballad on the sing off.”
She added: “The reason Tulisa put him through is because it’s not just a singing contest, it’s about The X Factor and he’s got that something, he definitely has.”
The X Factor continues with its live shows this weekend with a Best Of British theme.
Sunday's results show will feature performances from One Direction and Little Mix, as well as one more act being given the boot.
