XFactor 2012 results: Gary Barlow upset over Kye Sones exit

Gary Barlow (X Factor 2012)

X Factor judge Gary Barlow has admitted he's upset after Kye Sones was evicted from the show.

Kye Sones became the latest star to leave the show in tonight's X Factor 2012 results, after appearing in the bottom two for the second time with Rylan Clark.

The judges once again sent the vote to deadlock, with Kye leaving having received the fewest public votes.

Speaking to Dermot O'Leary after his exit this evening, Kye declared: "I was writing an album before this happened, I will be writing an album, I will be releasing an album, this has given me a platform.”

Quizzed about his highlights of the series, Kye added: “I think performing every week and being able to do this, I made it halfway into the competition.”

Kye's elimination left Gary with just one act, Chris Maloney, after the early exits of Melanie Masson and Carolynne Poole.

The Take That star complained: “I always predicted this, when you have an act like Rylan Clark in the competition good singers go home every week.

"I'm not angry, I’m upset for Kye.”

The X Factor continues with its live shows next weekend with a Best Of British theme.

Sunday's results show will feature performances from One Direction and Little Mix, as well as one more act being given the boot.
