X Factor 2012 favourite Ella Henderson has admitted she's missing pal Lucy Spraggan on the show.
Lucy Spraggan quit The X Factor 2012 on Saturday morning, citing her continuing illness.
The 21-year-old said in a statement: "I am gutted not to be able to continue on this journey but I'm not well enough to perform. To accept another free pass having missed last weekend would not be fair on the others in the competition.
"I wish them all well. I would like to express my thanks to everyone who has supported me. There is no way that this setback will prevent me from fulfilling my ambition.
"You'll be hearing from me again very soon."
Speaking on the Xtra Factor at the weekend, Ella said: “I do I miss both the girls but it’s a big loss losing Spraggan, she was such a big character.”
She added: “She was like my big sister but like a naughty big sister.”
Saturday night saw Ella wow the judges with a cover of Katy Perry's Firework, and the 16-year-old admitted she loved going back to basics with the performance.
She told Xtra Factor hosts Olly Murs and Caroline Flack: “For me, it was my favourite performance so far.
"I just wanted to strip it right back down and get back to the basics of where I was at my auditions and I felt like tonight was the first time I did that. I feel like that’s my starting point from now on.”
The X Factor continues with its live shows next weekend with a Best Of British theme.
Sunday's results show will feature performances from One Direction and Little Mix, as well as one more act being given the boot.
