X Factor 2012: Lucy Spraggan not seen at final rehearsals

Lucy Spraggan (X Factor 2012)

Where is Lucy Spraggan? X Factor 2012 star Lucy Spraggan missed the final rehearsals yesterday for tonight's live show, but there's still no official word on whether or not the 21-year-old has left the show.

Lucy fell ill last week and missed last Saturday's fourth live show, given a bye into this weekend's latest performance episode.

But Lucy has remained ill, despite medication, and hasn't yet attended any rehearsals.

Bosses have been hoping that Lucy will be well enough for tonight's Number Ones themed show, even extending rehearsal time at the London studios.

A source said: “We will keep rehearsal time open right up till the end. It’s completely up to her what she decides to do.

"There is no pressure on her and we can accommodate every eventuality.”

Another source said this morning: "Lucy has been very unwell and has been given as long as she needs to recover. There’s still time for her to practice on Saturday.”

Tulisa appeared on Alan Carr last night denying that Lucy had quit the show, but the interview was originally filmed on Wednesday.

The N-Dubz star told comedian Alan: "She’s not quitting, that’s a load of rubbish.”

She continued: “She’s not well, we are hoping that she’s going to perform on the show this weekend. We are hoping.”

Also appearing on the Channel 4 show, Nicole added: “We love her and we want her to get well. We love you Lucy.”

However if Lucy does leave the competition, it's unclear what could happen.

This week's elimination could be axed, with votes being carried over to next week's show, or there may simply be one less act in the final.

Bosses could also decide to bring another act back, having done similar last year when Frankie Cocozza left the show midway through the series.
