X Factor favourite Lucy Spraggan has hit out at people comparing her to Kate Nash.
The singer, who missed out on last week's latest live show due to illness, complained at viewers comparing her to the likes of Kate and even comic Victoria Wood.
"If people looked at mt lyrics, they'd see we're different," she said. "The comparisons are made because I sing with an English accent. It's weird when British people sing with an American accent."
The 21-year-old is currently suffering from a bad bout of the flu and may not perform this week either, but insisted her partying wasn't a cause of her illness.
"[My mentor] [tag]Tulisa Contostavlos[/tag] told me 'Don't worry I do the same thing!' she's even more of a party animal than me! If I win, I'd definitely celebrate with Tulisa. A night out with us two would be pretty drunken," Lucy told Star magazine.
She continued: "I'm 21 and [tag]Rylan Clark[/tag] is 24 - it's just normal behavior isn't it? A photographer filmed us on the night and, even though we were drunk, we weren't doing anything illegal or horrible."
Lucy's yet to appear at rehearsals this week, with claims that she could be forced to quit the show if she doesn't get better in time ahead of Saturday's latest live show.
