X Factor stars Union J were in tears after being in the bottom two, it's been claimed.
The boy group were made a shock appearance in the sing off at the weekend, but avoided elimination against Jade Ellis to remain on the show.
Speaking on This Morning this week, Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack revealed: "They took it really badly actually being in the bottom two. There was a lot of tears, I don’t think they were expecting it.”
She continued: “When we’re in the building, especially outside my dressing room, we have all the fans outside and they are constantly screaming. The name they scream most in Union J.”
Caroline confessed that even she was shocked to see the group in the sing off, with so many fans in the crowd and waiting outside the studio.
She said: “They are looking for George Shelley and Union J, so it was a real shock that they were in the bottom two, as they seem to also have the most reaction on Twitter, they have the most followers and the girls go crazy for them.
“It could just be a case that people thought they were safe.”
Speaking on Xtra Factor at the weekend, the boys said: “It was the hardest thing we have ever done, it was emotional it was... we were shaking.
“Having to fight of Jade for it was the worst thing, knowing you were so close to going…”
