X Factor's Ella Henderson has been discussing those rumours about a romance with George Shelley.
The 16-year-old has been linked to the Union J star, but insisted they were just laughing off the claims.
The teenager said: "George and I aren't bothered by the romance rumours - we laugh about it. We've got a similar sense of humour so, when we're around each other, we act like three year olds!"
Ella continued: "With boys, I don't have a type, but he has to make me laugh. George makes me laugh, but we're too childish for one another. We're so alike, it would probably be weird."
Speaking to the Daily Star recently, George also denied any romance, saying: “I’m not seeing Ella. We are just really close friends. We are each other’s agony aunts but nothing more."
But sources have insisted that the teenager pair are together, and have been told to try to keep it all a secret!
"Ella and George are really keen on one another," an insider says. "They've been spending most of their time in each other's hotel rooms.
"They'd like to make their relationship official as they hate keeping everything top secret."
A supposed pal of the pair told Closer magazine this week: "They are distancing themselves from the others and sneak off during breaks from rehearsals to go to their own quiet corner.
"Ella's said that although she's only been seeing him for a few weeks, they're serious about each other. George says she's his perfect woman."
Meanwhile X Factor favourite Ella also revealed she had grown close to Lucy Spraggan.
She added: "I miss her now she's left our hotel, but I'll see her every day. Lucy's a good girl rally, but she's got her ow spirit! I look out for her and he looks out for me."
