Former X Factor champ Leona Lewis has advised this year's finalists to let their emotions out.
The Bleeding Love hitmaker won the show back in 2006, and released her third studio album last week.
Giving advice to the latest bunch of wannabes, the Hackey based performer told the acts to cry.
She said: "Remember it's OK to be emotional. I cried every week on the show. Some people were like, 'You're too this' or 'You're too that', but I'm good with me and I'm good with how I react to things - it just makes me who I am.
"If you get criticised you 100 per cent get upset, but that's just natural. If it's positive criticism that's fine, and if it's negative you just have to ignore it. Don't take it personally."
Speaking to We Love Pop magazine this month, Leona also told the finalists - like Rylan Clark - to keep their feet on the ground and to ignore the hype.
Leona told We Love Pop magazine: "Never get a big head. There's nothing worse than an ego."
She added: "Find a balance between work and your personal life. Be prepared to work harder than ever."
