X Factor finalist Jahmene Douglas seems a bit tough himself, claiming that he was "awful" at the weekend.
Despite his cover of Say A Prayer getting rave reviews from the judges, Jahmene revealed today he wasn't happy how it went.
"I wasn’t happy with my performance at all," he said. "I thought I could’ve done a lot better. In fact, I thought I was awful!"
However Jahmene's mentor Nicole disagreed, saying: "Saturday’s performance was undeniably emotional for me as his mentor and friend. You’d have to be heartless not to be moved by his touching performance and life-story. I’m in awe of his strength, courage and gracefulness."
Jahmene's performance at the weekend was an emotional one after his mum's story of domestic violence was revealed in the newspapers.
"I really appreciate how kind everyone has been," Jahmene said in response. "I am over the moon to have raised awareness about violence against women.
"People have kindly made donations to Women’s Aid and the public support has been incredible."
Speaking to the official ITV1 X Factor website today, Jahmene continued: I’m still over-whelmed. I struggled to contain my emotions on stage after my performance.
"The warmth from the audience and Judges touched me deeply and almost set me off. I view life through a positive lens. I embrace happiness and wish the same for everyone around me."
The X Factor 2012 continues this Saturday night with a spooky Halloween themed episode as the remaining ten contestants perform live once again.
The latest results show follows on Sunday when one more act will be given the boot.
